Combining AMD3100 with chemo-radiotherapy for treatment of cervical cancers

Richard P Hill

We have utilized human cervical disease xenografts filled orthotopically in the cervix of mice to survey the impacts of hypoxia on lymph-hub metastases and to analyse the viability of chemo-radiotherapy. We have been especially intrigued by the chemokine receptor CXCR4 since it is upregulated by hypoxia and articulation of its ligand CXCL12 (SDF1) might be expanded after radiation therapy.
